【星岛综合报道】由于气温骤降，温哥华市政府本周末增设了过夜庇护所床位。
市政府表示，由于体感温度将降至或低于摄氏度，因此从周六到周一将发布极端天气警报。
通上写着：“如果您露宿街头，请前往安全的庇护所。”

当天气预报显示24小时内降雨量至少达到50毫米、持续强风、雨夹雪、冻雨或降雪、气温降至或低于0摄氏度，或气温接近0摄氏度且伴有降雨，导致无家可归者难以或无法保持干燥时，市政府将开放约150个额外的床位，称为“极端天气应对庇护所”。
当气温降至摄氏零下4度或体感温度降至摄氏零下4度时，日间暖气中心将开放，但预计本星期温哥华的气温不会降至如此低的水平。
由于天气寒冷，以下地点本周末将开放额外床位：
Directions Youth Services Centre – 1138 Burrard St. – 为13至24岁的青少年提供10个床位
The Salvation Army Belkin House – 555 Homer St. – 提供成人25张床位
Aboriginal Front Door – 390 Main St. – 提供成人34个床位
OPS Overnight EWR Shelter – 141 East Hastings St. – 为成年人提供20个床位
Imouto House EWR Shelter – 120 Jackson Ave. – 为16至24岁的女性提供4个床位
Kiwassa Neighbourhood House EWR Shelter – 2425 Oxford St. – 提供成人20个床位
