Paul DAVIES, 1 District Uniform Operations, 905.825.4747 ext.2410 Contact: Staff Sergeant On Duty Staff Sgt, as above, as above Location: Georgetown (Halton Hills) Traffic Fatality in Georgetown "Halton Police have closed a major intersection in Georgetown while they investigate a traffic fatality.Shortly after 1:00 a.m. a 2013 Toyota sports coupe was travelling eastbound on Maple Avenue approaching Main Street South when it lost control. The vehicle struck several light standards and traffic control poles before crashing into a tree.Of the three occupants inside the car, the driver and front seat passenger received minor injuries, however the rear seat passenger, believed to be an 18 year old Mississauga man, sustained very serious injuries. He died while enroute to hospital.The Collision Reconstruction Unit has been called in and is taking over carriage of the investigation with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit. The intersection is closed to traffic and will remain so for several hours while investigators complete their at-scene work.There have been no arrests in this collision and alcohol is not deemed to be a factor. 荷頓區荷頓山佐治亞鎮（Georgetown）昨日凌晨發生致命交通意外，一輛豐田運動跑車撞到多條燈柱和一棵樹，汽車嚴重損毀，車內一名18歲密市男乘客死亡，司機及另一名乘客受輕傷；荷頓區警方不排除超速是造成車禍的主因。
據CTV報道，荷頓區警方表示一輛2013年車款的豐田運動跑車，昨日凌晨1時左右在接近緬街（Main Street）的楓樹大道（Maple Avenue）向東行駛時，司機懷疑失控令汽車撞到路邊幾條燈柱和交通燈，最後撞樹才停下。
調查人員表示，事發時有三人在車內，司機和前座乘客受輕傷，但坐在后座的一名男子重傷，他被送往醫院途中死亡。
警方初步估計車禍不涉及醉駕成份，探員Chris Heffernan在現場向CP24表示：「我們沒有排除任何可能，現時沒有跡象顯示涉及酒精或毒品，我們正在把超速駕駛看作是造成車禍的可能因素。」
