皮爾區兩周確診兩例麻疹

皮爾區兩周內出現兩宗麻疹確診個案，患者包括一名2月12日曾乘搭飛機從瑞士蘇黎世前往多倫多的嬰兒。皮爾區公共衛生部門呼籲民眾注意風險，若民眾曾與確診病患同處一室，並出現發病徵兆，應馬上求醫，並通知在場醫護人員。
第一名確診病人為一名賓頓市市民，該名市民2月9日中午至傍晚時份，分別前往過位於賓頓市的雪萊頓書院（Sheridan College）Davis校園、乘搭賓頓公交的104線巴士，以及到過位於士刁大道西373號的藥房Guardian Sheridan Pharmacy。
第二名確診患者曾乘搭2月12日上午10時27分從蘇黎世開出、同日下午2時12分抵達皮爾國際機場的編號879加航航班。皮爾區衛生部門表示，機場其他航班和乘客都沒風險。
麻疹是一種高傳染性疾病，嬰兒、孕婦和免疫系統欠佳的人士的感染風險最高。皮爾區政府呼籲當地民眾查看自己的接種疫苗紀錄，確保自己和子女都已接種了兩劑MMR或MMRV疫苗。
若有人曾與確診患者同處一室，從當天起計算的21天內，要留意有沒有出現感染麻疹的病徵，包括發高燒、咳嗽、流鼻水、眼痛或對光線敏感、口腔出現白點，以及皮膚出現紅疹、且4至7天仍未減褪等。若出現病徵，應從速求醫，並通知醫護人員自己或曾接觸麻疹病毒。
