薩省女子Marlene Bird三年前在一次野蠻的襲擊中失去了雙腿,今年夏天她的電動輪椅又被偷了,不過現在在兩個非盈利組織的幫助下,這位女子得到了兩套新電動輪椅。

薩省脊髓損傷協會執行董事Lyn Brown表示,該組織在了解Marlene的悲慘遭遇後,於今年夏天向Marlene捐贈了一輛重型電動輪椅。

Lyn對Marlene的遭遇表示同情,並且還希望人們可以幫助那些仍舊在大街上困難使用手動輪椅的殘疾人們.
