为丰富会员的业余生活，将具有浓郁北方特点的民间艺术发扬光大，8月10日山东同乡会与山东大学温哥华校友会联合组建成立腰鼓队，并在本拿比中央公园进行第一次培训。所有队员在山大校友会秘书长李春燕女士教授下，初步掌握了腰鼓舞的五组动作，有模有样！
