From: Lakey, Jack Sent: Friday, October 7, 2005 5:57 PM To: Photodesk - Toronto Star Subject: fixer photos for Tues. Oct. 11 Cutline info: Last summer, the curb and sidewalk area on the west side of Yonge St., north of Sheppard Ave., was under construction. To accommodate the work, the
"pay-and-display" machines from which drivers purchase tickets to pay for on-street parking were taken away. The job has been completed for months now, but the ticket machines were never returned. There are no machines from south of Upper Madison Ave. to north of North York Blvd. - a distance of
about 400 metres. Within a day of our call to the Toronto Parking Authority, a new machine was installed. JACK LAKEY/ TORONTO STAR - OCT. 6, 2005. <><>
